Quit Smoking With E-Cigarettes?
It's hard to believe anything you read on the internet. Probably about 99% of everything you read was written to promote a product or service. It's biased. Information, in other words, and totally unreliable. In that 1% of accurate information floating around the net, though, you'll find thousands of people saying exactly the same thing: E-cigarettes helped them quit smoking.
It's an incredible concept but you can't take it at face value. Do your own research to validate the claims. We've spent a lot of time studying the forums, trying the products, and analysing the data and, to help save you a little time, we're posting what we found for the whole world to see.
It's Not Effortless
The first thing we realised when we studied the data is that it's not easy to quit smoking regardless of the method you use. Patches, nicotine gum, hypnosis, and electronic cigarettes can help you kick the habit – it won't do it for you. You have to know exactly why you want to quit and then put in the effort to free yourself. So, why use e-cigarettes, nicotine gum, or drugs like Champix? They make it easier to quit smoking. It'll still take a lot of willpower but, with the help of these quit smoking products, you'll suddenly see a life free of cigarettes as more than just a dream.
Changing Your Habits
The thing you have to realise is that smoking is more than an addiction to nicotine. You've associated taking a drag off of your cigarette with nicotine's ability to relieve stress and clear your mind. Even when you get enough nicotine through NRT (nicotine replacement therapy) products, you'll still feel that “need” to smoke a cigarette. In order to break free from your addiction to cigarettes, you're going to have to change your habits. The way our brains are wired, you shouldn’t try to kick a habit without replacing it with another one. That never works. Instead of smoking a cigarette when you start feeling overwhelmed, squeeze a stress ball or punch a punching bag. If you can replace your old habit with a new habit for 21 days in a row, you'll be in the clear.
Don't Expect Too Much
An electronic cigarette isn't magic. It's not going to completely replace your desire to smoke cigarettes from the very first day you use them. It'll help you manage your withdrawal symptoms and break free. To ensure success in quitting smoking, you may have to see a hypnotherapist, ask your physician for nicotine patches, or chew some nicotine gum in addition to using the e-cigarette.
